


What will you learn?
The Certificate II in Building and Construction (Pre-apprenticeship) provides students with hands-on, industry-relevant skills and knowledge to support entry into an apprenticeship within the building and construction industry. Training is delivered in a dedicated workshop environment and covers key areas such as workplace health and safety, safe use of hand and power tools, interpreting workplace documents, workplace communication, and building-related measurements and calculations. This program lays the foundation for further training at Certificate III level across a range of trade streams.

Program Delivery
This program is a partial completion over two years.

Work Placement
40 hours (1 week) is strongly recommended by VCAA
Clothing & Equipment
Safety boots and appropriate workwear clothing with further information during the RTO's orientation.
Materials Fee
Paid for by Department of Education for Government students. Independent and Catholic students to discuss with your school VET Co-ordinator
