What will you learn?

This program is a partial qualification being delivered as an industry taster for one year only. It will give students a range of skills and knowledge for entry level beauty industry employment.  Employment opportunities may include a beauty therapist, make-up artist or salon assistant.

Program Delivery

This program is a partial completion of the certificate over one year.

Location: Fed TAFE, Horsham

Contact: Wednesdays during school terms 9:20am to 3:20pm

Work Placement

Work placement is recommended by the VCAA

Clothing & Equipment

Appropriate PPE uniform, including footwear, must be worn each week with further information in the 2026 FedTAFE VET Student
Handbook. Own laptop and USB to be brought to class each  week

Materials Fee

Paid for by Department of Education for Government students. Independent and Catholic students to discuss with your school VET Co-ordinator

Program commencement is subject to enrolment numbers.

Accreditation 

Contribution towards VCE: VM 

A Certificate II or above VET course is mandatory for students  studying VCE-VM. 180 nominal hours or above equals two VET credits

Contribution towards VPC

Every 90 nominal hours of VET equals one unit of credit

 

Contribution towards VCE

Students may accrue two VCE VET units of credit at Units 1 and 2
level by completing 180 nominal hours in a Certificate II  qualification
